Crystal Gayle Thanks Fans For Prayers And Support For Loretta Lynn

Loretta Lynn and Crystal Gayle 311X269 72Less than a year after suffering a stroke in May 2017, Loretta Lynn is recovering from another health obstacle.

In an Instagram post on Monday (Jan. 8), her sister and Grammy winner Crystal Gayle revealed Lynn fell and broke her hip last week.

Gayle, who turns 66 on Tuesday (Jan. 9), asked fans to keep her 85-year-old sister in their thoughts and prayers.

"I was with Loretta yesterday," Crystal Gayle said. "She is in good spirits and is doing as well as can be expected with this type of injury."

Loretta Lynn has since made two appearances since her stroke. In September, she performed at the 2017 Tennessee Motorcycle and Music Revival at her ranch in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee. In October, she made a surprise appearance at the 2017 Country Music Hall of Fame induction to induct her friend, Alan Jackson.

November 09, 2018 Remembering Veterans Day!

Veterans Day is a day to remember all those who served. All Gave Some, Some Gave All! Gone But Never Forgotten! Honor The Brave!

Veterans Day Memory Of 290X198 72Jack Boland will be remembering and honoring all of our veterans for their service and sacrifices for our country on Veterans Day, November 11, 2018. Veterans day is an

Veterans Day Father and Son 225X285 72

official United States public holiday, we observe annually on November 11, that honors military veterans; that is, persons who served in the United States Armed Forces. This day is the anniversary of the signing of the armistice, which ended the World War I hostilities between the Allied nations and Germany in 1918. Our Veterans are thanked for their service to the United States on Veterans Day. Veterans are very special people who have spent part of their lives, from a few months to many years, serving our country in the military. This is very important because it means that without veterans, we would not have the freedoms we often so carelessly enjoy. May God Bless our Veterans!

New Marteka and William New "CD" Announcement!

Hey everyone!!! Hope y'all had a Merry Christmas! Me and William wanted to let you know, in

January (2018) we will be starting our new "CD" project! We are thinking about calling the new project simply "Pure". That is the way me and William always try to be with our fans AND with our music. We will keep everyone posted about the progress of the "CD" and when you can pre-order!

Thank you everyone!

Marteka and William

Marteka And William Get A Well Deserved Compliment            From Geoff Stelling, The Respected Banjo Maker.

Marteka and William sent a copy of their new CD “Pure” Bluegrass to Geoff Stelling, the respected banjo maker to get his expert opinion on the CD before we sent the master copy off to get them made. Here was his response!
"William's singing and rhythm is spot on, sounding more and more like Lester. Corrina is awesome as usual. You did a great job of recording and mixing. Marteka's playing and her banjo sound as good or better than Earl on all the recordings I have of Flatt and Scruggs, and I have a lot of them. No one on the planet can top what Marteka is doing. And the engineering skills are top notch, too."

Bill Jacobs

Posted 08/16/2016

Bill Jacobs is another very important man behind the scene at "WRDV" and a very good friend of Jack Boland. Everyone here at Country Gold Classics has a title in connection for what they do for the radio station. We call Bill Jacobs the "engineer"! Whenever there is a technical problem or breakdown with the equipment, Bill is the man who is always there to save the day! What would we do without Bill Jacobs? Bill also donates his time to the radio station with his program "Weekend Express" on every Friday afternoon from 3:00PM to 6:00PM playing great music from the big band era. Jack Boland and everyone here at "WRDV" would like to take this opportunity to say thanks to Bill Jacobs for his kindness and wonderful consideration he gives to the radio station!
